Payment Policy

Becker County District Court will accept payment in the following forms:

  • Cash/Currency
  • Personal check with valid Picture ID
  • Credit/Bank Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover
  • Money order and cashier checks

Becker County District Court does not accept the following forms of payment:

  • Second or Third Party Checks
  • Traveler Checks
  • Payroll Checks
  • Credit Cards other than listed above
  • Coin amounts in excess of $1.00 shall be taken to the nearest bank and converted to paper currency, money order, or cashier's check and remitted to the Court Administrator's Office. Pennies in excess of 25 cents shall also be taken to the nearest bank and converted to larger coin.
  • Mutilated currency. Paper currency that is soiled, rolled, folded, torn burnt, taped, and coins that are bent, twisted out of shape, punched, clipped, or a partial coin as they are not accepted for deposit.
