Bicycling
Whether bicycling for recreation or as a means of getting around town, we have numerous trails for the cycling
enthusiast. Most of our paved trails are conveniently centered in and around the population center of Detroit Lakes.
The MN Dept of Transportation (MN DOT) now has county level bicycle maps available.
Plans are underway to expand the Heartland State Trail through Becker County from Park Rapids to Moorhead offering cyclists
a longer, more rural adventure.
Area bicycle trails and routes are managed by both city and county agencies. Please contact the appropriate agency for the trail or route in question.
